Which format should I choose?

WebP — modern format, best of both worlds

25–35% smaller than JPEG at similar quality. Supports transparency. Supported by all modern browsers.

AVIF — next-generation, smallest files

Newest format with best compression. Requires modern browsers. Great for web performance.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

Never. All conversion happens locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your files stay on your device.

What's the max file size?

No hard limit, but browsers handle files up to ~50MB comfortably.

Will converting to JPEG remove transparency?

Yes — JPEG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas become white. Use PNG or WebP if you need transparency preserved.
